Insights are designed to complement the rich community data on CellarTracker by turning it into clear, actionable summaries.
Where to Find Insights
CellarTracker Insights appear in two places within the Vintage Page for wines:
1. Insights Behind the Action Button (FAB)
Tap the floating action button (FAB) on a vintage page to access deeper, personalized insights:
Will I Like This Wine?
Get a personalized prediction of how much you’ll enjoy a wine based on:
- Your past ratings and tasting notes (private and public)
- Your flavor preferences (e.g., high acid, low oak, bold tannins)
- The wine’s characteristics (variety, region, style)
- Community sentiment and tasting notes
The more you use CellarTracker and log notes, the more tailored and accurate this becomes.
Wine Summary
A comprehensive, AI-generated overview of the wine, including:
- Key themes from community tasting notes
- Flavor profile and structure
- Drinkability and cellaring potential
- Vintage context and variation
- Region and terroir insights
- Winemaking details
- Notable recognition (when available)
- A unique “Did you know?” highlight about the wine, winery, or vineyard
2. Embedded throughout the Vintage Pages
Tasting note summaries and food pairings are visible directly on the vintage page for quick reference:
Members Say (Free)
A summary of what the community is saying about the wine:
- Synthesized from tasting notes for the selected vintage
- If limited data exists, nearby vintages may be used
- Highlights common flavors, structure, and overall sentiment
Note: This is the only Insight available to all users for free, as part of our commitment to keeping community notes accessible.

Smart pairing guidance to help you enjoy your wine at its best:
- Foods that complement the wine’s flavor profile
- Common pairing pitfalls to avoid
- Specific dishes that work well
Subscription & Access
- All Insights (except Members Say) are only available to CellarTracker subscribers
- Members Say is always free for all users
- Non-subscribers on iOS can try Insights with a free trial
