WineBid Weekly Auction in CellarTracker
We partnered with WineBid to bring the weekly WineBid auction into the new CellarTracker app! CellarTracker data is layered on top of every lot, so you can decide whether to bid without flipping between tabs and spreadsheets. You can find the weekly auction on the Lists tab, then the Auctions sub-heading.
What it does
Each week we ingest the current WineBid auction catalog and match every lot to the corresponding wine in the CellarTracker database. For each lot you'll see:
- Community score and tasting note count
- Drinking window
- CellarTracker community average value
- Current bid and auction close time (from WineBid)
- Personalized recommendations on the lots we think you might like
You can search, filter, and sort wines easily to identify wines you're interested in based on price, grape varietal, region, and more.
What it doesn't do
This feature does not place bids. Tapping a lot opens it on WineBid, where you bid and pay as you normally would. CellarTracker never handles your WineBid account or payment details.
Who can use it
This is in beta and currently available to all users on the new app. It is only available in the new CellarTracker app, not on the website or the legacy app. Some data is only showed on accounts that are in a trial or paid.
Known limitations
- Some lots won't match to a CellarTracker wine.
- WineBid prices only reflect the price upon the auction open and are not updated throughout the week.
Feedback
This is a beta, so we want to hear what's awesome, confusing, broken, or missing. Email beta@cellartracker.com with any feedback.
